Policy Statement
Ubuntu Pledge CIC believes that all children, young people and vulnerable adults have the right to be safe, happy and healthy and deserve protection from abuse. Our organisation is committed to safeguarding from harm all children, young people and vulnerable adults using our services. This commitment also extends to the children of adults who use our services.
Policy Objectives
This document sets out the Ubuntu Pledge policy and procedures in place to:
- Ensure a safe environment and delivery of services for children and vulnerable adults.
- Provide those who work on behalf of our organisation, including all staff (paid and unpaid), trustees and directors, contractors, freelancers, agency workers, volunteers and visitors with an overarching code of practice that guides our approach towards safeguarding and child protection
- Ensure correct procedures are followed when dealing with all safeguarding issues and incidents of concern.
